This intimate wedding was so beautiful, cozy, and full of happy tears and special moments. Held at the cutest Historic Airbnb in New Orleans, Jess & Cheyenne's day was inspired by their love for art and made even more special by being surrounded by their closest family. From the initial discovery call with Jess & Cheyenne, I knew they wanted the photos to focus on moments rather than poses, but to also include editorial style - part of the reason I knew we were the right fit almost immediately. The cover photo is one of my favorites - taken while the brides were sharing private vows, I wanted this photo to really lean into the documentary side of my photography style.
New Orleans Wedding - The art of simplicity and intimacy
The most stunning and unique jewelry pieces from Carter's Jewelry were hand picked by each Bride, and the beautiful and vibrant florals were arranged by family. The ceremony was held in the courtyard followed by an emotional private vow ceremony. Both of the brides are insanely creative and have a deep appreciation for art, so it was important to me that I tie in that artistic feel to their detail photos. Since intimacy was so important for this day, I wanted to lean heavily into a more documentary approach to capturing each moment.
New Orleans Courtyard Micro-Wedding - Reception
For the reception, Jess & Cheyenne opted for delicious dinner privately catered by Jessica Shields. Gathered around a beautiful dining table inside this historic home, the couple shared laughs and cheers with those who mean most to them. Capturing this reception in a truly candid, documentary style rounded out their wedding gallery perfectly.
